NEXZ’s HYUI Visits Strawberry Farm for Birthday… "Found Peace of Mind Thanks to Fans"

HYUI, a member of the group NEXZ, spent a special day filled with memories to celebrate his birthday.

On May 11th, a video titled 'On May 11, 2026 — A day with HYUI' was posted on NEXZ’s official YouTube channel to commemorate his birthday. In the video, HYUI visited the strawberry farm he used to frequent with his family every year as a child, enjoying precious moments picking and tasting strawberries.

While picking strawberries, HYUI reminisced about the past. He said, "When I was little, I used to say I wanted to go strawberry picking instead of having cake for my birthday, so I came here every year." He brought laughter by sharing a cute childhood episode about how he once ate so many strawberries that his stomach hurt. He also shared his warm feelings, saying that birthdays always make him happy because he feels like the protagonist, and because he knows the joy of being celebrated, he wants to sincerely celebrate others' birthdays as well.

Regarding his thoughts on entering his second year since debut, he showed a more mature side. HYUI revealed that he feels significant inner growth, saying, "Last year was my first year since debut, so I was inexperienced and very nervous, but now I’ve gained some composure, and many things I couldn't do because of trembling have disappeared." As for his self in 10 years, he shared his wish: "I want to become cooler, but I hope my current personality, thoughts, and the essence of HYUI remain unchanged."

In particular, HYUI touched hearts by expressing deep gratitude toward his fans. Mentioning that he feels the greatest sense of reward when fans tell him, "Thank you for becoming an idol," he confessed, "When I heard those words, I was so happy I almost cried, and I felt that all my hard work had paid off." He added that thanks to his members and fans who gave him confidence whenever he felt insecure, he now enjoys life and has found peace of mind.

HYUI concluded his reflections with a kind message: "I ate a lot of delicious food and had a happy birthday. I hope all the fans who celebrated with me stay happy as well."
