IU donated a total of 300 million won on their birthday.

EDAM Entertainment announced on the 16th that IU made the donation under the name ″IUAena,″ combining the official fan club name ″U-Aena″ and their own name. The donation included 100 million won to Seoul Asan Medical Center, and 50 million won each to With Children, Milk Delivery Checking on the Elderly, the Korea Single Mothers Families Association, and Warm Companion.

A representative from the agency explained that the donation will be used for practical support for various groups, including assistance for patients facing financial difficulties, education and cultural support for children and adolescents, care for elderly living alone, support for vulnerable single-mother families, and advanced assistive devices for people with disabilities.

IU has consistently made donations under the name ″IUAena″ on meaningful occasions such as debut anniversaries, birthdays, and year-end holidays. This year, they donated 100 million won for children and adolescents on Children’s Day. Last year, they contributed 200 million won for wildfire relief in the Gyeongsang region and firefighter welfare improvement, 150 million won on Children’s Day, and 200 million won each on their birthday, debut anniversary, and year-end.
