SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan Could Have Been in Stray Kids? A Surprise Confession

Seungkwan of the group SEVENTEEN raised eyebrows among international fans by opening up about a surprising past where he once failed an audition for JYP Entertainment, showing off a flawless "best friend" chemistry with guest star Lee Know of Stray Kids.
Recently, on the new talk show content Seungkwan's Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo released via the YouTube channel 117, SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan welcomed his same-age close friend, Stray Kids' Lee Know, as the show's very first guest.
During the episode, the two filled the studio right from the opening with witty banter and unfiltered roasts befitting their status as key players in top-tier K-pop boy groups. While Seungkwan was praising Stray Kids for contributing significantly to the establishment of JYP Entertainment's new corporate headquarters through their massive global success, he caught everyone off guard by sharing an unexpected anecdote from his past.
Seungkwan made a surprise announcement, stating, "Many might not know this, but I actually failed a JYP audition once." shocking both Lee Know and the production crew. He then added with his signature playful grin, "If I had passed back then, I might have ended up as a member of Stray Kids," sparking laughter across the set.
Lee Know responded by sharing his own unique casting backstory: "I initially received a casting offer from JYP, but then communication completely cut off for two full years. I had forgotten all about it when they reached out again two years later, asking me to come in for an audition. That's how I ended up debuting in SKZ."
Global fans who caught the video poured out enthusiastic reactions to the duo's hilarious dynamics. Audiences left comments such as, "The fact that Boo Seungkwan auditioned for JYP is a total multiverse crossover," "If Seungkwan had been in SKZ, it would have been a different kind of explosive charm, but it's a relief they both peaked in their respective groups now," and "Because they are real-life friends, every single comment hits perfectly and is incredibly entertaining."
