Hwang Jung-eum revealed the reason she chose to reconcile during the first divorce crisis with her ex-husband and her maternal love for her two sons through her personal channel.

She mentioned her marriage in 2016 and said she accepted her ex-husband’s proposal immediately. Regarding the reason for withdrawing the divorce mediation application in 2021 and reconciling, Hwang Jung-eum explained, ″Many people think I reconciled because I had a second child and had no choice, but actually, it was because of my eldest son, Wang-sik.″ She continued, ″After agreeing to live together again, we went on an overseas trip to Hawaii, and it was then that we planned and had our second son, Kang-sik,″ sharing the story of her second pregnancy and childbirth.
