The band Silica Gel has joined YouTube’s global artist development program ’2026 Foundry’ lineup.

Silica Gel was selected as one of 24 teams chosen from 11 countries worldwide and will receive full support from YouTube. Since its launch in 2015, this program has helped emerging independent artists grow globally, with over 250 musicians such as Dua Lipa, Rosalía, and Zach Top having participated.

Through this program, Silica Gel plans to accelerate their Asia tour and new album promotion. Additionally, based on a close partnership with YouTube, they will present various content and gain expertise in communicating and building connections with their global fandom.

Silica Gel expressed, ″It is especially meaningful and exciting to join YouTube’s ’2026 Foundry’ at this important time as we prepare to release our third full-length album and embark on our first Asia tour. We sincerely thank our fans who always stand by us, and through this program, we will showcase Silica Gel’s unique music on a wider stage.″

Meanwhile, Silica Gel is preparing to release their third full-length album, Ballad of You, after about three years, and will begin their first Asia tour with solo concerts at Seoul KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Arena) on September 26 and 27.
