The fans of singer Hwang Young-woong warmed up the local community by organizing a massive free meal volunteering event.

On June 10, Hwang Young-woong's official fan cafe, "Paradise Daegu-Gyeongbuk Region" (hereinafter referred to as 'Paradise'), announced that they had partnered with the Daegu Chapter of the Korean Red Cross to host a "Free Meal Event of Love" targeting over 1,000 underprivileged local citizens, including seniors living alone and individuals with disabilities.

This sharing event was organized to honor the spirit of Hwang Young-woong, who has consistently practiced exceptional love for his neighbors, and to serve a warm, hearty meal to the marginalized who face the risk of missing meals due to financial hardship or social isolation. The donations pooled together by the fan cafe members were fully utilized for the meal service operations. Members themselves sweat it out from early morning, personally taking part in on-site food distribution, guiding attendees, and assisting with cooking.

The sincere actions demonstrated by 'Paradise' are regarded as a prime example of a "healthy fan culture" befitting the artist's reputation. Going beyond simply cheering for their star, they take the lead in social contribution activities that translate Hwang Young-woong's positive energy into meaningful social value, serving as a reliable pillar for the local community.

In fact, this is not the first time 'Paradise' has extended its warm hand of charity. Over the years, they have not only hosted sharing events during traditional holidays to carefully deliver songpyeon (half-moon rice cakes) and tteokguk-tteok (sliced rice cakes for soup) to isolated neighbors, but have also consistently deployed tailored volunteer services, such as baking for vulnerable children and related organizations, significantly contributing to the expansion of a culture of giving.

Meanwhile, the Daegu Chapter of the Korean Red Cross operates a weekly free meal program around Duryu Park in Daegu for seniors and individuals with disabilities who are at risk of malnutrition, and is striving to eliminate welfare blind spots through partnerships with local groups, including 'Paradise.'
