Yoon So-yi runs a grilled fish restaurant, offering difficult dishes made at home.

Actress Yoon So-i recently shared an update that she has temporarily paused her drama activities to run a grilled fish restaurant. In a video released on the YouTube channel ’PDC by PDC’ on the 11th, it was introduced that the restaurant Yoon So-i runs herself was full of customers and so popular that there was a waiting list.
Yoon So-i said, ″I am very grateful that PDC, which has over 110,000 subscribers, visited my humble restaurant.″ When PDC mentioned that it is difficult to grill fish at home, Yoon So-i explained that while housewives can grill fish, they find it bothersome because of the fishy smell left on the dishes. She said, ″After washing the dishes and then smelling them again, the smell remains. It lasts for about two days.″
She also shared that her husband likes fish but told her not to grill it at home because of the smell. Regarding the reason for running the restaurant, she said, ″I wanted to make food that people have difficulty making at home,″ and mentioned her past experience running a jokbal (pig’s trotters) restaurant. This time, she chose menus that are difficult to make at home, such as bossam (boiled pork), spicy pork, and fish.
About her recent activities, Yoon So-i said she has also been participating in live home shopping broadcasts related to the clothing industry. Along with childcare, she said she finished filming a short-form drama two weeks ago. Explaining how she balances drama filming and running the restaurant, she said, ″There are people who work in the kitchen and others who work in the dining area, so it’s okay to manage both acting and the restaurant.″
Regarding the surprised reactions from those around her about running a restaurant, she said, ″I think it’s because I’m tall and look like a model. Everyone asks why I want to do such a tough job. Running a restaurant is definitely not easy. It is hard work, but it is also a very attractive profession.″ She also added that since her mother had experience running several restaurants, her psychological barrier toward running a restaurant is low.
Meanwhile, Yoon So-i married musical actor Jo Sung-yoon in 2017 and they have a daughter.
