At the opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North and Central America, singer Lee Jae will debut the official theme song ″DNA.″ Lee Jae previously gained global attention for the OST of the Netflix animation ″K-Pop Demon Hunters.″

On the 11th (local time), FIFA announced, ″Lee Jae and world-renowned opera singer Andrea Bocelli will premiere the official theme song ’DNA’ at the World Cup opening ceremony held on the 12th at the Mexico City Stadium in Mexico.″ Global artists including Lee Jae, Bocelli, David Guetta, and Megan Thee Stallion participated in ″DNA.″ The song reportedly includes Korean lyrics such as ″It’s okay to fall, get up again″ inserted within the English lyrics.

Lee Jae expressed, ″I am very happy to participate,″ adding, ″It is even more meaningful because I was able to write the Korean lyrics myself, and it is a great honor to represent South Korea at the opening ceremony.″ In the video released by FIFA, Lee Jae and Bocelli performed the song alternating between English and Korean. The lyrics also contain the message, ″This is more than just a game, It’s our DNA.″
