Kim Garam has signed an exclusive contract with Management Gu and is starting new activities as an actor. On the 16th, Management Gu announced the signing of the exclusive contract with Kim Garam, stating that they had been closely observing Kim Garam’s YouTube activities and were deeply impressed by her potential for growth as an actor and her sincere attitude. They also mentioned that Kim Garam has been continuously training and researching to improve her acting skills, and is challenging herself in various fields such as learning English and Japanese, as well as playing the guitar.

The agency explained that Kim Garam invests most of her time in preparing for her dream of becoming an actor and in self-development, and highly values her relentless effort to fill in her shortcomings. After internal discussions, they decided to sign the exclusive contract, judging that she has great potential and growth prospects. They also stated that they plan to fully support Kim Garam so that she can engage in a wide range of acting activities in the future.

Kim Garam debuted as a member of the group LE SSERAFIM in May 2022 but withdrew from the team amid a school violence controversy. At that time, her agency Source Music stated that Kim Garam had received a level 5 disciplinary action from the School Violence Countermeasure Committee during middle school, but claimed that the incident occurred while she was helping a friend who had been victimized. As the controversy continued, her exclusive contract with Source Music was terminated in July of the same year.

Since then, Kim Garam has been studying acting after enrolling in the Department of Media Acting at Konkuk University’s College of Arts and Design, and in March, she opened a personal YouTube channel to communicate with fans. Management Gu represents several actors including Lee Yo-won, Ha Seok-jin, Seo Ji-hoon, Yoo In-soo, and Kwon Hyuk.
