The new unit V8 (The8, Vernon) of Seventeen has revealed the tracklist for their first mini-album ’V8’ through official SNS and Weverse.

This album includes a total of 8 tracks: the title song ’singasong,’ ’Friend,’ ’BEAT,’ ’MIA,’ ’Coloring,’ ’girlsnboys,’ ’8DM,’ and ’rat race,’ which will be released only as a digital single. The title track ’singasong’ is an electronic song based on hyperpop, co-composed by The8 and Vernon along with German producer and DJ Mechatok. Pharrell Williams participated in writing, composing, and producing the track ’girlsnboys,’ and BUMZU, who has worked with Seventeen for a long time, is also credited.

V8 participated in writing and composing 6 out of the 8 songs and directly led the work on their respective solo tracks. The8 worked on ’8DM’ with Alice Longyu Gao, DPR CREAM, and DPR ARTIC, while Vernon collaborated with KIRARA and Han Jung-in on ’MIA.’

The first mini-album ’V8’ will be released on the 29th through various online music sites. This album features the theme of ’worn-out youth,’ expressing the process of wandering, confusion, recovery, and growth. Some parts of the new songs were previously revealed through teaser films and the ’RATS NEST’ version concept film, and V8 will present additional content related to the new release on the 18th.

V8 will hold a solo concert titled ’2026 VERNON THE 8 [V8] LIVE - GOYANG’ on July 11 and 12 at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1, Hall 1, in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. This concert will be the first among Seventeen units to be held entirely standing. Following that, from July 17 to 19, they will meet local fans at AsiaWorld-Expo Hall 10 in Hong Kong.

V8 is a unit consisting of Seventeen members The8 and Vernon, and through this album, they plan to showcase their musical direction as a unit.
