Big Bang's 20th debut anniversary, first stage of the World Tour at Goyang Sports Complex... City expects tens of thousands of spectators, focusing on traffic and safety

Big Bang will hold the first concert of their world tour marking their 20th anniversary as a complete group at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium for three days from August 21 to 23.
Goyang Special City expects tens of thousands of multinational spectators to visit Goyang for this event. Accordingly, it anticipates economic added value to be generated in local accommodations, dining, and major commercial districts. To ensure the success of the concert, the city has decided to immediately activate an ″integrated administrative support system″ that utilizes the accumulated administrative capabilities for large-scale events.
As a large crowd is expected to gather in a short period, the city plans to proactively establish a joint safety management system with related agencies such as the police and fire departments, as well as the organizer YG Entertainment, focusing on preventing crowd-related accidents. Additionally, considering the concert will be held in midsummer, customized heatwave measures will be prepared to protect the health and safety of attendees. The city is currently discussing various preventive and support measures with the organizer to ensure that spectators can enjoy the concert comfortably and safely without heat-related illnesses.
Measures to minimize traffic congestion and inconvenience to citizens will also be implemented. On the day of the concert, to disperse the crowd expected to gather at Daehwa Station on Subway Line 3, the operation of shuttle buses connecting GTX-A Kintex Station and Goyang Sports Complex will be significantly expanded compared to previous large-scale concerts.
A Goyang city official stated, ″We will carefully monitor and support all areas including traffic, safety, and heatwave preparedness to ensure that domestic and international fans visiting Goyang can enjoy the concert safely and comfortably despite the heat, and that there will be no inconvenience to the daily lives of Goyang citizens.″
Meanwhile, Big Bang, who debuted in 2006, has dominated the domestic and international music markets and influenced popular culture overall, including concerts and fashion. Recently, they announced their return by performing at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the United States, receiving enthusiastic responses from the local audience.
