[THE FACT | Reporter Choi Hyun-jung] THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS is set to determine the “Best Summer Song of 2026.”

Global fan platform FANNSTAR opened online preliminary voting for the “TMA Best Music – Summer” category of THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS at noon on the 6th to select the best summer song of 2026.

Preliminary voting will run for two weeks until noon on July 20. Final voting will begin immediately afterward at noon on July 20 and continue until noon on August 3.

“TMA Best Music” is a quarterly vote for artists who released music during the relevant period. The “TMA Best Music – Summer” category is open to all artists who released music between April and June this year, excluding OSTs and special collaboration tracks created for events.

The preliminary voting lineup features a large number of K-pop artists who made their mark on the music scene during the second quarter of the year, including Dayoung, RIIZE, LE SSERAFIM, RESCENE, MONSTA X, Park Jihoon, BTS, Stray Kids, I.O.I, ILLIT, AKMU, aespa, NMIXX, NCT WISH, ITZY, CORTIS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, TWS, PLAVE and Hearts2Hearts, listed in Korean alphabetical order. The top 20 artists selected through global fan voting will advance to the final round.

The artist who ranks first in the preliminary vote will receive a digital billboard advertisement in Shin-Okubo, Tokyo. Second place will receive an advertisement on the media wall at I'PARK MALL at Yongsan Station, while third place will receive an advertisement at the Eugene Building in Yeouido.

The artist who ultimately ranks first in the final vote will receive the “TMA Best Music – Summer” trophy in the FANNSTAR category at the 2026 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS.

The 2026 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS, a global music festival bringing together top K-pop artists and fans from around the world, will be held at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on September 19.

Jun Hyun-moo and Seohyun, known as the signature hosts of THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS, will team up as MCs for the eighth time. TV personality Jaejae will serve as the red carpet host and vividly convey the excitement from the venue.

Anticipation is also growing as the 2026 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS has announced a variety of performances and special stages featuring top-tier artists.
