Monsta X(MONSTA X) Kihyun held a comeback live on the official YouTube channel to celebrate the release of his second mini album ’BORDERLINE’.

During the live, Kihyun listened to the album tracks one by one with the fandom Monbebe and shared various stories. The first track, ″Borderline,″ is the theme song of this album, and he revealed that lyricist Kim Eana, who participated in the previous work ″Youth,″ collaborated again this time. He mentioned a memorable lyric, saying, ″I heard the expression ’I like the shape of my day’ for the first time, and it was so good.″ About the track ″Stealin’ Air,″ he shared that ″Usually, recording takes about 1 to 1 hour and 40 minutes, but this song took 3 hours,″ revealing the challenging recording process. Among the tracks excluding the title song, he chose ″Late Night Drive″ as his favorite, saying, ″I thought it absolutely had to be included in the album as soon as I heard it.″

He also revealed behind-the-scenes stories of the music video shoot for the title track ″So Good.″ Kihyun said he learned breakfall and wire action at an action school for the action scenes. Regarding the tear acting in the music video, he clarified that the tears were real and not produced by tear sticks, explaining that he naturally shed tears by immersing himself in the filming environment. He shared episodes from the concept photo shoot and key points for each photo, naming the ″ROUTE″ version, which captures the moment before the start of a journey, as his favorite concept.

During the time of looking over the physical album, he answered fans’ questions using six keywords: airplane, carrier, headphones, charger, camera, and tumbler. When asked about the songs he listens to the most recently, he said, ″I kept listening to the album tracks repeatedly through earphones, speakers, and in the car while making slight adjustments.″ The live ended with Kihyun showing the passion he poured into the album.

Kihyun’s second mini album ’BORDERLINE’ contains a total of seven tracks, featuring various moods centered around the title track ″So Good.″ This album depicts the process of finding one’s own direction rather than following a predetermined path. Kihyun debuted as the main vocalist of Monsta X in 2015 and began his solo vocalist activities in 2022 with the release of his first solo single ″VOYAGER.″ On the 7th, he released his second mini album ’BORDERLINE’ and continues his activities with the title track ″So Good.″
