Park Yoochun Announces Full Payment of 400 Million Won in Overdue Taxes This Year Recent Updates Revealed


Park Yoochun recently shared an update on his personal SNS. On the 7th, Park Yoochun posted several photos along with emojis on his account. In the photos, Park Yoochun is seen wearing a white tank top and a denim jacket, smiling brightly, and holding a microphone while talking on stage. Through the comments, he expressed his intention to continue his music career, saying, ″There are many immature parts, but I will keep pursuing music.″

Regarding Park Yoochun’s tax delinquency issue, his Japanese agency stated, ″Several lawsuits in Korea that have been ongoing for a long time have all been safely concluded,″ and explained, ″He is currently fulfilling his payment obligations sincerely and plans to complete full payment within this year.″ According to a report by MyDaily, Park Yoochun submitted an installment payment plan to the National Tax Service and is expected to complete full payment within this year.

Park Yoochun was included in the list of high-amount and habitual tax delinquents released by the National Tax Service in 2023. According to the National Tax Service, he is known to have delinquent taxes totaling 409 million won from five cases, including capital gains tax in 2016. Recently, he has been proceeding with installment payments to resolve the delinquency issue.

Park Yoochun debuted in 2003 as a member of the group TVXQ and later was active as a member of JYJ. In 2019, he was prosecuted for methamphetamine use and was sentenced to 10 months in prison with a 2-year probation. He is currently continuing his music activities, including performances and fan meetings, mainly in Japan.
