Winwin, a member of NCT and WayV, has terminated his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment and is withdrawing from NCT.

On the 8th, SM Entertainment announced through an official statement that Winwin’s exclusive contract will end on July 9, 2026. Accordingly, Winwin will conclude all activities with NCT. SM expressed gratitude to Winwin, who has been with the company for over 10 years since his trainee days, and wished him success in his new journey.

Winwin debuted as an original member of NCT 127 in July 2016 and was active from the debut album through the first repackage full album released in November 2018, NCT #127 Regulate. After stepping back from NCT 127 team activities, he debuted with WayV in January 2019. Alongside WayV activities, he has focused on solo activities in China and has not participated in WayV’s domestic activities since 2024.

In 2021, Winwin established Gongzuoshi, a personal agency dedicated to his acting career in China, preparing for an independent path. Recently, he has been building his acting career by appearing in various works such as the Chinese drama Obu Kimun, aired on Netflix and other global OTT platforms, and Yang Jin Mi Geum, released on iQIYI.

Meanwhile, Winwin is the second SM artist to leave NCT immediately upon contract termination this year, following Mark in April. Ten also ended his exclusive contract with SM but continues activities with NCT and WayV.
