'Single Life' Yuri reveals her third year living in Jeju... "She resembles Kian84's mother"

Girls’ Generation’s Yuri revealed her daily life in Jeju through MBC’s ’I Live Alone.’
In the broadcast, Yuri introduced her house in an eastern village of Jeju, where she has been living alone for three years. Yuri explained, ″It’s a place called Yeonse, which can be rented on a yearly basis. Our house is also Yeonse.″ The living room was decorated in white and orange tones, and throughout the house were paintings that Yuri had drawn herself. She revealed that Jeju was the first place where she experienced living independently.
In her morning routine, she emptied the water from a dehumidifier and lit a scented candle to manage humidity. Yuri made a yam juice by blending yam, milk, apple, and honey, saying, ″My mom made this for me every day. This yam juice gave me my stamina.″ Afterwards, she dressed in a Jeju local style and went out.
Yuri rode a motorcycle along the coastal road, took a walk with a neighbor’s dog named ’Ddonggeul-i,’ and spent time eating octopus ramen and stir-fried octopus with the owner couple of her regular restaurant. She also headed to the sea to harvest seaweed called tot, then made and enjoyed ’Myeongran Tot Sotbap’ (rice cooked with seaweed and pollock roe). This scene was selected as the best one-minute moment of the day’s broadcast, which recorded the highest viewership rating of 8.9%.
Regarding the background of her life in Jeju, Yuri said, ″When I was very busy, the glamorous spotlight and endless schedules gave me happiness and popularity, but my personal life felt empty.″ She added, ″In Jeju, I focus more on living and making a living. Living closer to nature than it appears gives me courage, like ’Kwon Yuri, you can do it. Just try.’″
Kian84 commented on Yuri’s style, saying, ″Your style is similar to my mom’s,″ and Yuri revealed that she had met Kian84’s mother and the dog Dalkong at a bazaar held in Jeju. Yuri said, ″Your mother and the dog are very famous in Jeju.″
Meanwhile, the broadcast also featured the talent show stage of the ’1st Rainbow Summer Training Camp.’ Kim Shin-young won the grand prize with the concept of ’Aunt Dabi’ through participants’ votes, and the full version of the talent show video was released on the official ’I Live Alone’ channel.
When Kian84 guessed that the Yeonse cost of Yuri’s Jeju house was 9 million won, Yuri said, ″It’s similar,″ but added, ″It’s much, much less than 9 million won.″ According to Nielsen Korea, the broadcast recorded a 6.9% household viewership rating in the metropolitan area and a 4.1% rating among viewers aged 20 to 54, ranking first among Friday variety programs and in the same time slot.
