Lee Tae-sung revealed his recent activities as a painter, stating that he spends up to 100 million won annually on art supplies.
On the 11th episode of MBN variety show ″Sokpuli Show Dongchimi,″ the cast members shared stories about their hobbies and addictions. Lee Tae-sung said about his art activities, ″It started as an addiction, but now it has become a routine,″ emphasizing his passion for his work.
Lee Tae-sung, who was a baseball player in high school, debuted as an actor and is now actively working as a painter. He also shared his recent status as an ″arttainer,″ participating in overseas exhibitions. When asked about painting, he replied, ″Time really flies when I paint,″ and explained, ″The theme of my paintings is human relationships.″ He revealed that he has exhibited about 3,000 works over more than 10 years, impressing cast members like Hyun-young.
Lee Tae-sung also mentioned his investment in art materials. ″The cost of materials like paint and canvas is enormous,″ he said, adding, ″It costs between 70 million won and up to 100 million won per year.″ He continued, ″Using good materials results in much better color rendering and definitely improves the preservation of the artwork.″
Meanwhile, he revealed that he used to be addicted to golf but quit because it eventually felt stressful. When asked if there was anything new he wanted to be addicted to, he answered, ″I want to raise a baby wild animal since I was young. I got the idea after seeing people raising pet wild animals in the Middle East.″ In response, Noh Sa-yeon said, ″Then take me with you,″ which brought laughter to the scene.
