Park Narae sent to prosecution over allegations of power harassment by former manager, charged with special assault and other offenses

Comedian Park Na-rae has been referred to the prosecution over allegations of power harassment against her former managers, and it has been revealed that one of the former managers has hired a lawyer.
On the 10th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul sent Park Na-rae to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office with a recommendation for indictment on charges of special assault and violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. Two of Park Na-rae’s former managers filed complaints last December, claiming they were subjected to power harassment, including verbal abuse for not drinking alcohol and being hit by a drink, resulting in injuries. Park Na-rae countersued the former managers for attempted extortion and denied the allegations during three police investigations. However, the police concluded that power harassment was evident and forwarded the case to the prosecution.
In relation to this, on the 11th, a video titled ″I received a call from Park Na-rae’s former manager″ was posted on the YouTube channel ″Jangbyeonho.″ Attorney Jang Hyun-oh explained in the video, ″I previously uploaded a video addressing the dispute between Park Na-rae and her manager, and recently, one of the managers who saw that video contacted us expressing a desire to appoint our law firm as their representative.″ The law firm to which Attorney Jang belongs announced that it will represent the former manager in this case. Attorney Jang stated, ″The claims from both sides are contradictory, and the evidence is somewhat unclear, so this case has a lot of room for dispute and is being fiercely contested.″ He added, ″We will do our best to legally fight for the manager who trusted and entrusted us. Although the outcome has not been decided, I prepared this video in advance to clarify that we did not create the video in favor of this person just because we represent them. I hope there will be no misunderstandings.″
