Kihyun releases band live video of title track "So Good" from new work "BORDERLINE" after 3 years and 9 months

Kihyun of Monsta X showcased his vocal skills by revealing a band live performance of the title track ″So Good″ from his second mini-album BORDERLINE.
In the live video released on July 13 through the YouTube channel ″It’s Live,″ Kihyun expressed the song’s sense of liberation by freely switching between solid high notes and smooth falsetto in sync with the gradually intensifying guitar sound. His refreshing yet deep rock vocals blended with the band sound to create a strong sense of immersion.
After the performance, Kihyun said, ″If my previous solo songs had an exciting atmosphere, this song was ambitiously prepared with a focus on my vocals. I hope you love it a lot and recommend it to those around you.″
This album BORDERLINE is a new work released about 3 years and 9 months after Kihyun’s first mini-album YOUTH, which came out in October 2022. Completed after about half a year of work, this album consists of songs that can define Kihyun’s musical color. It includes seven tracks: the title track ″So Good,″ ″Borderline,″ ″Stealin’ Air,″ ″Domino,″ ″Lazy Day,″ ″Late Night Drive,″ and ″Howling.″
Regarding this album, Kihyun said, ″If the process so far was about gathering my musical colors, the title track I’m releasing this time is a song that can clearly define my musical color. It’s a song and album that can well show the position I’m currently passing through.″ He also added, ″I said this album is one that stamps my musical color. I prepared and started, and now that I’ve stamped it, I don’t know exactly what to do next, but I want to spread that color well. Whenever it happens, if I release another solo album, I want to fill it with my deep unique color. I want to present a full-length album. I hope to continue diversifying in this way going forward.″
The new song ″So Good″ tells the story of those who quietly walk their path with confidence in themselves even in situations where they are forced to make choices and answers. Kihyun is continuing his activities as a solo artist by appearing not only on music show stages but also in various content and radio programs.
Meanwhile, Monsta X, to which Kihyun belongs, is meeting fans worldwide through their world tour The X: NEXUS.
