[THE FACT | Reporter Choi Soo-jung] BTS has secured a congratulatory advertising benefit after achieving five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on FANNSTAR’s Weekly Music chart with its new song “Come Over.”

BTS claimed the top spot with a total of 882,718 votes in FANNSTAR’s third-week-of-July Weekly Music vote, which ran from July 13 to 20. Singer Hwang Chi-yeul ranked second, followed by V8 in third place.

By topping the chart for five consecutive weeks, BTS will receive a digital billboard advertising benefit at Mirae Plaza in Hongdae. The advertisement is scheduled to be displayed as congratulatory content celebrating BTS’s five-week No. 1 streak.

The group’s activities on the global stage also continued. On July 19 local time, BTS performed at the halftime show of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final held at New York New Jersey Stadium in the United States. It marked the first-ever final halftime show in World Cup history. BTS participated as a co-headliner alongside Madonna, Shakira and Justin Bieber.

Taking the central stage at a global sporting event, BTS captured the attention of viewers around the world with a powerful performance and message. At a symbolic moment where music and sports came together, the group once again demonstrated its status as a K-pop artist.

Through its agency BIGHIT MUSIC, BTS shared, “The World Cup is an event we have enjoyed watching since we were young, so it is an honor to stand on the stage of the first-ever final halftime show. We are happy to perform for a meaningful cause while shouting love together with amazing artists and children, and it feels like a dream.”

The group added, “We believe we were able to come this far thanks to the influence of ARMY around the world. We sincerely thank everyone who watched over us.”

Meanwhile, BTS has been nominated in the TMA Best Music Summer vote and the Choice Award Group category, both part of the FANNSTAR division presented at TMA. Each vote will continue until 12 p.m. on August 3.

The 2026 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS is scheduled to be held on September 19 at Busan Asiad Main Stadium.
