Kangnam appeared on the variety show ″No, But Really!″ and candidly spoke about his married life and arguments with Lee Sang-hwa.

On the show, Kangnam mentioned the reason he decided to get married and his first meeting with Lee Sang-hwa. He said he first met Lee Sang-hwa through the 2018 variety show ″Law of the Jungle,″ and at that time, just after the Olympics had ended, he saw her walking by wearing a sleeveless top and decided to get married. Kangnam said, ″Our eyes met through the muscles, and I thought, ’I’m going to get married.’″ He also revealed that Lee Sang-hwa felt around the same time that she would marry Kangnam. He shared an anecdote about how his mother tried to dissuade Lee Sang-hwa before their marriage.

Regarding their married life, he admitted that they used to argue frequently in the early days. Kangnam described that when Lee Sang-hwa got angry, she emitted an aura like in Dragon Ball, and even their dogs would run upstairs to escape. He also shared an episode where, after a fight, Lee Sang-hwa told him to ″sit!″ and he was sitting with their dog. He explained that after acknowledging his place in the hierarchy, their arguments decreased.

He also shared stories about Lee Sang-hwa’s health management. Kangnam, who once weighed 100kg and had fatty liver, said his wife managed his health strictly, and during dates, she suddenly told him to run home, making him run 15km every day. He also revealed an incident during a YouTube shoot when he tried to eat ramen as a late-night snack, but Lee Sang-hwa grabbed the hot noodles with her hands to stop him from eating.

Kangnam emphasized to the unmarried cast members Go Jun-hee and Kim Min-soo, ″This is what real married life is like.″ When Tak Jae-hoon asked, ″If you were born again, would you go to the ’Law of the Jungle’ filming site?″ Kangnam replied, ″I would never go to the jungle.″
