J.Y. Park: "JYP Cafeteria Annual Maintenance Cost 2 Billion Won... Organic Kimchi Alone 220 Million Won"

Park Jin-young revealed the operation method of JYP Entertainment’s cafeteria through a broadcast. The cafeteria’s menu is composed of domestically sourced organic ingredients, and the annual maintenance cost is known to be about 2 billion KRW. He specifically stated that kimchi alone costs 220 million KRW annually.
The cafeteria operates on a self-service basis, and JYP employees and trainees can use it for free. A chef from a famous hotel is responsible for the food, and it was explained that no MSG is used and there are no plastic or aluminum products in the kitchen. It was emphasized that organic cold-pressed oil is used for fried dishes to aid digestion.
Park Jin-young said he wanted to provide good meals, thinking of the trainees as his own children while they are at the company. He revealed that he felt guilty seeing trainees eat instant food from convenience stores during the days at the Cheongdam building and explained that providing healthy meals is a principle at JYP.
He mentioned that when moving to the new building, the cafeteria size will triple, and permission to provide lunch boxes will be granted. Park Jin-young also shared an episode where he sent a long message about eating and lifestyle habits for the health of the team members. The manager said Park Jin-young personally gave advice by organizing habits to be followed in daily life.
Employees said that the food at JYP’s cafeteria tastes better than store-bought food and is also good for their health. Park Jin-young stated that although costs could be reduced by not preparing even the kimchi organically, he sticks to the principle for the sake of health.
