Jihyun Park visits Shanghai after 20 years... reminiscing about memorable places and family memories

Park Ji-hyun revealed her visit to Shanghai, China, for the first time in 20 years through MBC variety show ″I Live Alone.″
On the show, Park Ji-hyun visited various places in Shanghai where she lived for about two years during her childhood. She first visited a popular jianbing restaurant she often ate at as a child, recalling memories of the food made fresh on the street. She also toured the school she attended during her student days and several nostalgic spots, naturally speaking Chinese while there.
Park Ji-hyun also visited the sites of her parents’ former accessory shop, snack bar, and Korean restaurant. She recalled the time her family went through, saying, ″My parents took on a new challenge in China.″ She shared the story of returning to Korea after the Korean restaurant closed. Park Ji-hyun said, ″I only remember my mom crying all the time.″
Later, Park Ji-hyun reserved a high-end restaurant with a view of the Shanghai nightscape to meet a college classmate and spent a special time. While dining with her friend, she expressed her congratulations, saying, ″If I were alone, I wouldn’t have come to a place like this.″
Park Ji-hyun reflected on her return to Shanghai after 20 years, saying, ″I failed back then and became a singer. Even the bad things are good memories now.″
