'I'm SOLO' Season 33 ratings 3.5%... Still maintaining popularity and ranking first in the same time slot


’I am SOLO’ continues its popularity with high viewership ratings across terrestrial, comprehensive programming channels, and cable. Recently, the first broadcast of season 33 recorded a combined viewership rating of 3.5%, with ENA at 2.0% and SBS Plus at 1.6%. Although this is a slight decrease compared to the final episode of season 32 (combined 4.6%) and the first episode of the divorced special (combined 3.7%), the program’s buzz and target indicators remain strong.
The broadcast on the 29th of last month achieved a nationwide average viewership rating of 4.6% and a 2.3% rating in the male and female 20-49 target demographic, ranking first in its time slot. ’I am SOLO’ captures viewers’ attention every Wednesday night.
In the 33rd season of ’I am SOLO,’ airing at 10:30 PM on the 12th on ENA and SBS Plus, the ’single for life special’ participants reveal their personalities and views on dating. In the pre-released self-introduction scene, various charms of the single men were unveiled. One participant stated, ″I don’t care about looks at all. I want to meet someone who can dream of small happiness with me,″ while another answered a question about conflicts with a girlfriend by saying, ″I haven’t had a girlfriend yet, so...″ which brought laughter. The three MCs, Defconn, Lee Yi-kyung, and Song Hae-na, also expressed surprise at this answer.
Another single man demonstrated push-ups while describing his ideal type, and a participant passionate about self-development revealed that he has been studying math and recently developed an interest in Chinese. One participant surprised everyone by saying he needed to go to the bathroom due to nervousness during his self-introduction.
SBS Plus and ENA announced that ’I am SOLO’ and its spin-off ’I am SOLO, Love Continues After’ will be exclusively streamed worldwide in over 190 countries through Netflix. The production team explained their choice of Netflix as an overseas expansion platform by stating, ″We judged Netflix to be the most appropriate gateway to properly showcase excellent content in the overseas market.″ Netflix will initially provide subtitles in various languages including English and Spanish and plans to expand supported languages.
Due to the exclusive overseas streaming contract, existing OTT replay services will be gradually discontinued, but TV live broadcasts and IPTV services will continue as before.
