Actor Kim Soo-hyun is set to grace an official public event in Korea for the first time in a while—and the occasion will be the 2026 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS.
On August 28, the organizing committee of the THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS (TMA) announced, “Kim Soo-hyun will attend the 2026 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS, which will be held at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on September 19, as a presenter.”
Kim made his acting debut in the 2007 MBC sitcom Kimchi Cheese Smile and firmly established his name among the public in 2011 with his role as Song Sam-dong in KBS2’s Dream High.
He subsequently achieved a remarkable peak nationwide viewership rating of 42.2% (based on Nielsen Korea household ratings) with MBC’s Moon Embracing the Sun. He further rose to prominence by joining the ranks of Korea’s “10-million movie actors” through the blockbuster film The Thieves.
Kim also gained enormous popularity across Asia for his role as Do Min-joon in My Love from the Star. More recently, Queen of Tears further solidified his irreplaceable status as a leading Hallyu star, becoming the highest-rated tvN weekend drama of all time with a peak viewership rating of 24.9%.
With numerous landmark achievements and hit productions to his name, Kim has continued to demonstrate his strong presence as a global Hallyu star. In particular, he recently proved his enduring popularity by appearing as a special guest on MAHAKARYA RCTI 37, a live special celebrating the 37th anniversary of Indonesia’s largest private television network, RCTI.
Now, Kim is set to appear as a presenter at the 2026 THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS, giving him the opportunity to meet countless fans through an official public event in Korea for the first time in a while.
