Evan (real name Lee Heeseung) achieved half a million sales with his first mini-album ’DEATH OF ME.’ According to Hanteo Chart, the album sold 530,929 copies during its first week from September 7 to 13. On the day of release, it sold 461,488 copies, ranking first on Hanteo’s daily album chart, and surpassed 500,000 copies in just three days.

It also showed strong performance overseas. ’DEATH OF ME’ appeared on the iTunes ’Top Albums’ chart in 34 countries and regions worldwide, ranking first in 11 of them. On China’s QQ Music, it recorded sales exceeding 250,000 yuan, earning a ’Gold Album’ certification, and ranked second on Japan’s Oricon ’Daily Album Ranking’ (September 11).

The title track ’Death of Me’ ranked first on Bugs real-time chart and fifth on Melon ’HOT 100’ (within 30 days of release) immediately after release. On the latest UK Official Charts (September 11–17), it ranked high on both the ’Single Download Chart’ and the ’Single Sales Chart,’ and the music video ranked fourth globally on YouTube’s ’Daily Popular Music Videos.’

On TikTok, over 42,000 posts using the ’Death of Me’ audio were uploaded as of 10 a.m. on the 14th. LE SSERAFIM Kazuha, &TEAM Nicholas, ALPHA DRIVE ONE Sangwon, Twide Saki, and Elena participated in the challenge.

Lee Heeseung became independent from Enhypen last March. His agency Belift Lab stated, ″We have been contemplating and discussing the direction Enhypen should take moving forward and its next goals,″ adding, ″We had in-depth conversations about each member’s envisioned future and the team’s direction, and through this process, we confirmed that Heeseung’s musical aspirations are clear, so we decided to respect that.″

Subsequently, on June 22, Evan began his activities as a solo artist by releasing his first single, ’RIDE OR DIE.’
