IU has released the music video for the title track of their new digital single, ″From This Star.″

EDAM Entertainment unveiled the full music video for ″From This Star″ on IU’s official YouTube channel at midnight on the 16th. The music video features Chilean actor Jorge Lopez as the co-star, portraying a special connection with IU. Jorge Lopez is known for his roles in the Netflix series ″Elite″ and Disney’s ″Soy Luna.″

The music video tells the story of a man and a woman who meet by chance through a fictional video chat service called ″PLANET.″ Although the two characters are in different times and spaces, they gradually grow closer through the screen, but their relationship ends abruptly when the service suddenly shuts down. Later, after a long time has passed, the video shows IU arriving on Earth, leaving the possibility that their connection might continue.

At the end of the video, a QR code appears, linking to a promotional website where users can directly experience ″PLANET.″ The site recreates the video chat screen from the music video, offering an experience as if chatting with IU via video call. Additionally, various content such as the double title track ″Dear my crazy soulmate,″ the ″From This Star″ music video, and unreleased photos will be available.

IU’s new digital single ″From This Star″ was released at 6 p.m. on the 10th. The album includes two songs, ″From This Star″ and ″Dear my crazy soulmate,″ both written by IU personally. This single is their first new release in about a year since ″Bye, Summer″ in September last year and serves as a pre-release track for their upcoming sixth full-length album.
