Kim Hye-ja, 85 years old, 65 years of acting and sharing journey... SBS documentary airs on the 4th, Netflix releases on the 5th

A documentary capturing actress Kim Hye-ja’s sharing and acting activities will be released. The international relief and development NGO World Vision announced on the 1st that the SBS special documentary ″Kim Hye-ja’s Well-being – Don’t Die″ will air on SBS on the 4th and on Netflix on the 5th. This work highlights the life and long journey of sharing of Kim Hye-ja, who turned 85 this year and has a 65-year acting career as a goodwill ambassador.
″Kim Hye-ja’s Well-being – Don’t Die″ began as a project selected in the 2024 World Vision staff internal idea contest. It was completed over three years by closely covering Kim Hye-ja’s final volunteer work in Africa in 2025 and her acting activities in the 2026 film ″Still Brilliant.″
The title ″Don’t Die″ is taken from a message Kim Hye-ja has conveyed throughout her life. She asked the production team, ″Don’t make me a hero; use this to give hope to people.″ The documentary depicts the process in which Kim Hye-ja meets children in need, continues her sharing, and gains strength to live herself.
The documentary features Bong Joon-ho, directors Song Il-gon, and actors Ko Doo-shim, Lee Jung-eun, Lee Se-young, Choi Kang-hee, Son Ho-jun, and Ryu Deok-hwan, all connected to Kim Hye-ja. Additionally, Han Roro’s ″_Ege″ and Jung Mi-ra’s ″Flower″ are included as background music.
Jo Myung-hwan, chairman of World Vision, said this documentary captures Kim Hye-ja’s acting life and her life of sharing as a World Vision goodwill ambassador, showing not only one person’s good deeds but also reasons and hope to live for everyone.
″Kim Hye-ja’s Well-being – Don’t Die″ will premiere on SBS at 11:05 PM on the 4th and will be available on Netflix starting the 5th.
