[The Fact｜Reporter Park Ji-yoon] Actor Lee Som will be the sole host of the ‘2023 Buil Film Awards’.
On the 4th, her management company Managementmmm announced, "Lee Som became the first female host to single-handedly host the Buil Film Awards since her debut."
Initially, Lee Som was scheduled to take the stage at the '2023 Buil Film Awards' along with actor Lee Je-hoon. However, Lee Je-hoon felt severe abdominal pain on the night of the 1st, so he went to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery for ischemic colitis. In the end, he couldn't join us due to health reasons.
After discussion, the organizers of 'Buil Film Awards' decided not to choose a new male host but just let Lee Som host the show alone.
Lee Som has built a solid filmography on both television and screen, including the drama 'Model Taxi', the film 'Little Princess' and 'Samjin Group's English Test Prep English Class '. Starting with this year's movie 'Ghost', he is working hard by meeting audiences with Netflix's 'Gil Bok-soon' and 'The Delivery Driver', followed by 'Exorcist Laboratory of Doctor Cheon: The Secret of the Snow Scene', was released on the 27th of last month.
In addition, Esom plans to meet the audience in Busan with TVING's original movie 'LTNS', which was invited to attend the 'Screen Section' of the '28th Busan International Film Festival', opening on this day.
'Buil Film Awards' was Korea's first film awards, launched in 1958. It was discontinued in 1973 when the television era entered, but was revived in 2008 and has been running for 16 years.
'2023 Buil Film Awards' will be held at Signiel Busan Grand Ballroom in Haeundae-gu on the 5th. Before the main awards ceremony held at 5 p.m., a handprint event and a red carpet event attended by filmmakers will be held from 4 p.m. The award ceremony will be broadcast live on Naver TV.
