Hwang Young Woong donates 1.5 million won with fans... reaching a total of 57.07 million won

Singer Hwang Young Woong continues donation activities with fans. On the 6th, Dongbang Social Welfare Center announced that Hwang Young Woong donated 1.5 million won through 'Seonhan Star' together with fans. This donation was made with the entire prize money from the April King of Songs competition and was achieved through the voluntary participation of fans. The cumulative donation amount delivered under Hwang Young Woong's name has reached 57.07 million won.
The donation will be used to support developmental rehabilitation treatment for children and adolescents with disabilities affiliated with Dongbang Social Welfare Center, and it will be utilized for language, cognitive, and behavioral development therapy, according to the center.
Since April, Hwang Young Woong has been holding nationwide fan meetings, and in May, plans to visit seven regions sequentially, including Northern Gyeonggi, Incheon, Chungbuk, Busan, Gyeongnam, Jeonbuk, and Gwangju/Jeonnam, to meet fans. Programs involving direct fan participation are also prepared.
Since its establishment in 1972, Dongbang Social Welfare Center has been providing welfare services to marginalized neighbors such as children and adolescents, single-parent families, people with disabilities, the elderly, and Filipino-Kopino families.
Hwang Young Woong returned to the stage through the 'Gangjin Celadon Festival' held in Gangjin, Jeonnam, last February after a privacy controversy, and subsequently won the Male Star Award and Trot Best Song Award at the '2026 Korea Hallyu Entertainment Awards.'
