WHIB Tops FANNSTAR New Star Ranking for the First Time… Proves Powerful Fandom Support

[THE FACT | Reporter Choi Su-jeong] WHIB has claimed the top spot on the weekly idol ranking site FANNSTAR’s New Star Ranking for the first time, solidifying its presence as a promising next-generation rookie group.
From May 4 to May 11, WHIB ranked first in the first week of May FANNSTAR New Star Ranking vote with 252,182 votes. UNIS ranked second, followed by CORTIS in third. In particular, the large voting gap between WHIB and competing groups highlighted the passionate support from its fandom.
The New Star Ranking is a vote for rookie idols who debuted after 2023. It is considered an indicator of the next generation of K-pop stars through fan participation, and various advertising benefits are awarded based on consecutive wins and cumulative votes. Achieving five consecutive weeks at No.1 grants advertisements on the Yongsan I’PARK Mall Media Wall and the ALL THE K-POP YouTube main banner, while 10 consecutive weeks at No.1 earns a Hongdae M Screen advertisement benefit. Additional advertising rewards are also provided based on cumulative votes, including displays at the Yeouido Eugene Building, Hongdae Mirae Plaza, and Wangsimni horizontal billboards.
WHIB made a strong impression on global fans earlier this year with its first mini album “ROCK THE NATION,” released in January, which set new personal best records across multiple indicators. In March, the group successfully completed its first solo concert, “GO UP : Our era,” proving both its stage presence and growth potential.
FANNSTAR, operated by THE FACT, is a fan-participation platform that contributes to fandom culture through rankings and billboard support. Voting begins every Monday and is open to fans worldwide.
