The movie ″Gunchae″ surpassed 2 million cumulative viewers within 5 days of its release.

According to data from the Korea Film Council’s integrated computer network, as of the afternoon of the 25th, the cumulative number of viewers for ″Gunchae″ was counted at 2,000,005. With this, ″Gunchae″ achieved 2 million viewers in the shortest period, surpassing this year’s hit films such as ″A Man Who Lives with the King.″

″Gunchae″ (director Yeon Sang-ho) depicts survivors trapped in a building sealed off due to an unidentified infection outbreak, fighting against evolving infected beings.

The Korea Film Council stated that this record is one day faster than ″Zombie Daughter,″ which is regarded as the highest-grossing Korean film of 2025.
