BTS Jimin is drawing attention by showcasing a new ’Gamdasal’ hairstyle at every Arirang World Tour performance.

At the first show of the ’BTS World Tour in Las Vegas’ held on May 23 (local time) at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Jimin appeared with the top part of his long blonde hair braided. This style trended on social media under the keyword ’JIMIN BRAIDS.’

On TikTok, challenge videos imitating Jimin’s hairstyle gained popularity, and on the American Spanish-language broadcaster Telemundo’s news program ’Al Rojo Vivo,’ anchor Lourdes Stephen showcased the same hairstyle with Jimin’s ’Who’ as the background music.

Jimin revealed his long blonde hair during the comeback live stage at Gwanghwamun Square in March, earning nicknames such as ’Lion Jimin’ and ’Bukcheong Lion Guy,’ and has maintained this style since then.

The vice president of BigHit Music stated in an interview that Jimin’s decision to keep his long hair was his own. Jimin mentioned in a live broadcast that when choosing the long hair style, there was opposition from the agency and those around him, but only his mother supported it.

After concluding the North American tour with the Las Vegas performance, Jimin has returned to Korea and is preparing for concerts in Busan on June 12 and 13.
